Things are really picking up again!

June 4th, 2018: Saturday's show with Bill Garvin's Eric and the Dominoes was a blast! Otto D'Agnolo's All On A Ride opener was excellent. It was fun to see Otto and his most excellent musicians do their thang and I had a great time playing with Bill and hope to get another opportunity to play with him and his splendid band. We shall see!

Next up, July 22nd, 2018 at the famous Rhythm Room in Phoenix. Unfortunately TicketFly were hacked a short while ago and have disabled their websites. Thus I am unable to add a direct link for ticket purchase at this time but as soon as they're back up and running you'll find it here!

Peace out!

May 31st, 2018: Out of the blue I received a call from the venerable Bill Garvin. He has an excellent Eric Clapton tribute band and has graciously asked me to play as a guest with them at BLK Live on June 2nd 2018. This is an amazing venue essentially comprised of a full-size concert stage at the end of a swimming pool. It's an all-ages-welcome event and promises to be extraordinay good fun. The show will be opened by Otto D'Agnolo and his All On A Ride project. Showtime is 7:00pm so arrive early to assure yourself a good spot in the pool!

Also, after a few months' respite, The New Army featuring Paul Gurvitz will be back at the Rhythm Room in Phoenix. This is one of our favourite spots to play in town. Paul will be presenting his renowned History Show. Join us on July 22nd, 2018 for an unforgettable evening!

April 6th, 2018: This has become an annual event... Tonight, I'll be playing with Joseph and the Jazz Brethren (Joe and the Bros) at the most excellent El Zocalo restaurant in Chandler in support of the Chandler Jazz Festival. It promises to be a splendid night so come out for good food on the patio with great music and be sure to take some time to wander around the town and witness some of the fine jazz events taking place.

April 2016: Simon PC Frost is now playing guitar with 'The New Army' featuring rock legend Paul Gurvitz. Check out the gigs page here for new tour dates.

January 2015: At the NAMM show in California, Simon was recognised, and brought on board, by the wonderful people at Fret-King. Simon had a chance to hang with the remarkable Jerry Donahue and Simon now proudly plays the Fret-King Jerry Donahue Signature Edition guitar

spcf bio...

Although not born in the UK, Simon PC Frost was raised there through the period when the British Folk Movement gave way to the real inception of English Rock and Roll. Out of this time came such diverse influences as John Renbourn and David Gilmour. From Davy Graham, Martin Carthy and Bert Jansch, through John Martyn to Yes.

This extraordinary melange of styles brought forth a new generation of musicians; one of whom is Simon PC Frost.

From his delicate, conversational and musically lyrical acoustic instrumentals, to his rock compositions or jazz creations, all the original influences shine through with integrity.

Simon PC Frost has played in all styles all over the world, and is currently resident in Phoenix, Arizona, always looking to play something new (or indeed something very old!).

Late in 2015 Simon was approached by rock legend Paul Gurvitz to become part of his band 'The New Army'. This was a really exciting step forward and yet another endorsement of Simon's musical versatility. The New Army began touring April 1st, 2016. Since then they have played in Las Vegas Nevada, California, and of course all over Arizona, even in front of a crowd of nearly 3,000 while opening for REO Speedwagon!

Something to think about...

There are a few things that I feel quite strongly about as a musician. One of these is "what good can my music do?". Below are some links and a little info about a few organisations that I have come to know and love over the years and to whom I proudly give what little assistance that I can - but they all tell me that every little helps.

I passionately encourage you to look in the direction of these causes and give whatever you can afford - time, goods, money. They all perform amazing work domestically and around the world, each providing their own measure of magic, making the world a better place every day in their own incredible way.

The Music For Life Alliance is a 501c(3) tax exempt, not for profit charity that facilitates the efforts of individuals and organizations making music learning accessible to young people who may not otherwise be able to experience the educational, psychological, and social benefits of making music. Through awards, grants and recognition, and by creating and maintaining a national database, the Music For Life Alliance helps support and unify grassroots efforts across the country.

Playing For Change arose from a common belief that music has the power to connect people regardless of their differences. In 2005, a small group of filmmakers set out with a dream to create a film rooted in the music of the streets. Not only has that dream been realized, it has grown into a global sensation that has touched the lives of millions of people around the world. Since then music programs have been created in 11 countries. More than 2,000 young people attend free classes in dance, instruments, musical theory and languages, all taught by qualified local teachers.
